Michele Melazzini

Michele Melazzini, Ph.D. in Design, is a Researcher at the Department of Design - Politecnico di Milano. The research activity focuses on design's role in the organization, covering research areas such as strategic design and design management. With a background in product design, Michele built his experience in applying and developing design practices to support cultural transformation and innovation processes, exploring employee engagement as a critical driver. He collaborates on international research projects (Horizon 2020, Interreg, Erasmus+) that deal with Creative Industries, Design Thinking processes applied to SMEs, and Entrepreneurship.
Michele is Assistant Professor at the Politecnico di Milano Design School and teaches at POLI.Design Consortium and GSOM Polimi. He is the workshop coordinator of the Master in Strategic Design (POLI.design) and one of the directors of the SDIT Executive Master (GSOM). Michele is part of the Senior Research Team of the "Observatory Design Thinking for Business". He worked as a strategic designer /consultant for different companies (most recently: IMI CIB Intesa Sanpaolo, Uponor, Panasonic, Fantoni Group, Veneta Cucine). Michele has started learning and discovering the design's " soul " during a long collaboration with Fondazione Achille Castiglioni.
