Citizen empowerment as co-researchers Diversity in walkability experiences Focusing on the 15-minute city, which requires a diverse population and various services accessible within walking distance, the contribution underlines the importance of considering human differences, such as age, gender, and abilities, to develop inclusive urban contexts. It is also essential to collect and generate heterogeneous data thanks to the use of interdisciplinary research methods. The Longevity project is presented, focused on the social inclusion of the elderly through urban walkability. The project was based on the capabilities model, identifying in the participation processes strategies for the empowerment of the participants, a key objective for developing aware and diversified communities.
