Xue Pei

Xue Pei, PhD in strategic design for responsible business, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano, where she conducts her research and teaching activities on the strategic roles of design in shaping and transforming business and innovation to achieve economic, environmental, and societal impact. Her research areas include design for responsible business, design for organisational transformation, and design for sustainable transition. Currently, her research addresses developing design-driven strategies towards sustainability and circularity in the furniture sector.
Dr. Xue Pei is experienced in working with interdisciplinary and intercultural teams. Since 2016, she has been involved in a number of European and national research projects (Horizon 2020, Interreg, Fondazione Cariplo), and has participated in and co-led several strategic and service design research projects in diverse sectors (including private funding from furniture, home appliances, telecommunication industries, and the non-profit sector). She has conducted didactic activities in both public and private universities since 2015, and she has been the author of published research articles in both national and international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings.
