Define the characteristics and parameters of an e-learning course for workers in the furniture sector in Italy

Introduction

FederlegnoArredo aims to stimulate a culture of sustainability in the Federation's member companies, through the definition of a Decalogue of principles and actions that can be transferred through ad hoc digital training activities to the employees of furniture companies.
At the same time, the Federation's employees themselves are to be sensitised to the topic of sustainability, then involved and made the first promoters towards the companies in the sector.

Main objective

The project aims to define the characteristics of a digital training plan for the employees of companies in the furniture sector: micro, small, and medium-sized companies, which often pay little attention to training issues, either because they are perceived as too abstract and distant from the real needs of the companies or because of a culture of continuous emergency from a work point of view, which does not allow them to devote time to anything else. At the same time, design, organize and facilitate a training event on the Decalogue principles for the Federation employees.

Main activities

The project was articulated through the following main activities:
• Audit workshop with several figures of the Federation, to align on the project goals and get a better understanding of the Decalogue principles.
• Case studies research to analyse the existing digital learning formats, identify the recurrent parameters and select the most relevant for the project objectives.
• Expert interviews with professional in the training field with different backgrounds, to deepen the results of the case study analysis.
• Ideation and definition of the characteristics of the courses.
• Design, organization and facilitation of the training workshop with the Federation employees.
