The overall objective is to present a map of the different ways in which the strategic role of design manifests itself today within different organisational models and how design orients and develops the design of product-centred services. Students, at the end of the course, will be able to acquire a minimum vocabulary of concepts, tools and methods from these disciplines. The teaching aims to transfer knowledge, tools and methodologies for understanding (and being able to practice) strategic design and service design.
The course is offered to the entire Master’s degree course in Integrated Product Design. It is held in the IP1 section in Italian and in the IP2 section in English.
