Digital technologies are increasingly pervading our lives, in all fields. Over time, they have also become a means to enhance the competitiveness of companies by offering new services but also by integrating these technologies internally to improve processes. DC4DM wants to implement and disseminate these technologies without forgetting the human aspect, therefore it uses a human-centred approach to develop and empower human skills through digital technologies.
• Design in Organization
• Cross-Fertilization
• Design Thinking
• Envisioning
The project aims to implement, apply and disseminate a human-centred design model to facilitate and strategically guide the ongoing process of digital evolution for achieving Digital Maturity through people creative enhancement, within an EU network of HEIs, SMEs and Startups, Business Incubators. The DC4DM model will empower Digital Creative Abilities through the exchange of knowledge; co-creation of methods and tools; and (3) project-based visioning experiments. During the project, the model will be developed collecting methods, tools and cross-functional competencies from the whole consortium, fostering sharing of cross-cultural knowledge from academia to industry and vice versa.
The DC4DM project was structured to develop activities over a three-year period, and through these implementations and test the intellectual outputs. The main activities include Learning Labs and Digital Maturity Days. The first constitutes a format for project workshops that aim to implement the skills to meet challenges through digital technologies and the DC4DM Model. The Digital Maturity Days, on the other hand, are events open to the public that aim to disseminate knowledge on how design and creativity can be exploited to drive technology applications. The main outputs of the project are Digital Maturity Vocabulary, Digital Maturity Pills, Design Maturity Toolkit, DC4DM Open book.
